Superior and Safer Sun Protection

Entekno's "STAR" project (SAFE, TRANSPARENT, ACTIVE AND RELIABLE MINERAL BASED SUNSCREEN INGREDIENT TECHNOLOGY) received a EU grant from SME Instrument Phase 1 (Horizon 2020).

Due to the depletion of the ozone layer, more harmful sun rays pass the barrier and lead to a dramatic increase in skin cancer. Sunscreens are the most widely accepted solution to overcome this health problem. However, many of them have some serious disadvantages.

The STAR project aims to commercialise a novel and ideal ingredient for sunscreens by utilising the patented technology MicNo®. This new ingredient possesses the potential to solve the disadvantages. At the same time, it covers all the new protective aspects of an ideal sunscreen.
