Who Can Apply

Eurostars supports innovative SMEs and project partners (large companies, universities, research organisations, etc.) by funding international collaborative R&D and innovation projects. However, to apply you must fulfill 7 eligibility criteria + national criteria:

1. Project led by an innovative SME from a Eurostars country
2. Consortium is composed of at least two entities that are independent of one another
3. Consortium is composed of entities from at least two Eurostars countries
4. Budget of the SMEs from a Eurostars country is 50% or more of the total project cost
5. No single participant or country is responsible for more than 70% of the budget of the project
6. Duration is 36 months or less
7. Exclusive focus on civil applications

Funding Information

Eurostars projects are evaluated based on their technological innovation, market potential, commercial impact, and consortium quality. The amount of Eurostars funding is managed by your national funding body and the funding rules vary from the participating countries. The grant per partner is around EUR 300-500k.
