The Flying Crane Revolution Won the Biggest Innobooster Grant
Nordic Innovators has worked with Airflight since 2020 and until now our collaboration has secured Airflight two Innobooster grants. The latest was announced in autumn 2022 and was the biggest Innobooster grant we have worked on. We are very proud of Airflight’s hard work and their ability to execute on their innovative ideas!
Airflight is a fast growing Danish technology company founded in 2019. However, despite their short existence, things are humming for Airflight. Their goal is to develop the most precise and safe flying cranes in the world by using current and new technology.
FASTER – CHEAPER – GREENER…
The intelligent heavy-duty flying cranes are designed for operation and maintenance within the wind energy sector. Airflight has already developed an industrial flying crane for hoisting spare parts, tools, equipment, and other components up and down from wind turbines.
Now, thanks to the latest won Innobooster project, Airflight will develop a one-of-a kind semi-autonomous flying crane specifically designed and built for offshore wind operation and maintenance.
What’s not to like… The flying cranes are up to 3 x faster than current solutions, the operational costs are lower because of reduced manpower and less equipment and last, but not least, they are greener because the flying cranes replaces and/or supplement the use of other heavy cranes and offshore vessels etc.
We enjoy the collaboration, and we are eager to follow their successful journey.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work that resulted in us being approved for the grant. You were wonderful to work with and completed the task with great quality and all of us at Airflight really appreciate your fantastic work which completely has changed what is possible for our company. So, we cannot give you a large enough thank you!
