The Success Story of a Young, Inspiring Female Researcher
PhD Thesis of the year led to a new start-up
PreDiagnose IVS is a spin-off from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Fatima’s applied research in the field of nanotechnology and biomedicine has resulted in the development of a novel medical device specially designed for detecting early and intermittent bacterial infections. This means that doctors will now have a powerful decision-making supporting tool that will significantly impact the treatment, outcome and life quality of patients.
To further grow and proceed with PreDiagnose, Nordic Innovators helped Fatima to apply for an Innobooster grant, which she was awarded.
As a result of the ground-breaking nature of her research, Fatima has also been highlighted in various media, e.g., in World Biomedical Frontiers 2016 for research innovation and potential for significant impact. Moreover, she received the Lundbeck Foundation Talent Prize 2017 for her “brilliant outstanding research talents in medicine and health science under 30”.
”I heard of Nordic Innovators’ good work through several spin-off companies that have had a great and successful collaboration with them for several years. I have now also experienced at first-hand how Nordic Innovators is truly skilled, not only in writing a proposal but also in the process of building a solid and winning project and proposal. I am very pleased to have them onboard and look forward to working together with them on new opportunities.”
