Relevant Funding programmes for the Hydrogen Industry
In addition to the existing grants programme, the EC has developed a new support mechanism of competitive bidding (auctions). IF Hydrogen Auction is designed to cost-efficiently support the production of renewable fuel of non-biological origin (RFNBO) hydrogen within the European Economic Area.
Focus is on innovative low-carbon technologies and processes in energy-intensive industries to accelerate industrial decarbonisation and support Europe's transition to climate neutrality. For all projects sizes, applicants can get up to 60% of the total project capital expenditure.
Clean Hydrogen Partnership
Also known as the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, this public-private partnership supports European R&I in hydrogen technologies, strengthening EU scientific capacity to accelerate clean hydrogen development in line with the EU Green Deal and Hydrogen Strategy.
CETPartnership
The CETPartnership aims to empower the clean energy transition and foster collaboration among innovative businesses, promoting cross-border projects for clean energy transition. It offers funding covering 50-75% of project costs, making it an ideal step for SMEs pursuing international projects.
Connecting Europe Facility (CEF)
A key contributor to the European Green Deal and the EU's r 2030 and 2050 decarbonization targets. With a €20.73 billion budget (2021-2027), CEF drives economic growth and competitiveness through targeted infrastructure investment supporting the development of the trans-European networks.
