A new EU funding programme 

The EIC Pre-Accelerator was launched in June 2025 under the European Innovation Council (EIC) and WIDERA (Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence) initiative - A funding scheme targeted early-stage deep-tech startups in Widening Countries (less-developed EU regions where innovation ecosystems need boosting) helping them move closer to market and prepare for larger EU funding opportunities like the EIC Accelerator.

The EIC Pre-Accelerator - €20 million pilot programme, will provide grants and access to EIC's Business Acceleration Services
