How to Create a Successful
MUDP Application
A strong MUDP application combines ambitious environmental technology with clear documentation of climate and environmental impact, job creation and Danish value creation.
To make it through the needle’s eye, the MUDP project must not only be innovative — it must also meet various formal requirements, which are briefly described below. We can help you structure, document, and target your application effectively.
What Are the Key Elements of a MUDP Application?
-
Innovative environmental technology: Must address a concrete challenge with measurable environmental benefits.
-
Market & scalability: Credible potential for deployment in Denmark and/or internationally.
-
Environmental impact: Quantified reductions in emissions, resource consumption or waste.
-
Project organisation: Competent partners with clear roles and cooperation agreements.
-
Execution: Realistic plan, milestones, budget and risk assessment.
-
Formal requirements: Use of MUDP’s official application templates and guidelines.
Who Can Apply for MUDP?
Companies, public institutions or consortia with a Danish CVR number as the main applicant for MUDP funding. International partners can also participate if the MUDP project strengthens Danish environmental technology development and environmental impact.
What Financial Requirements Apply?
Participants must be able to document the ability to cover co-financing and complete the MUDP project. The budget and financing must appear realistic.
Environmental Impact and Degree of Innovation
The MUDP project must document a measurable environmental improvement, e.g., reduction in CO₂ emissions, chemical use, water consumption, or waste – compared with existing solutions.
Market and Deployment
Market potential, competitors and a plan for commercialisation or implementation must be described.
