Revolutionizing Sound with New Technology 

SonicEdge DK is at the forefront of sound generation innovation with their pioneering work in generating sound from modulated ultrasound technology. SonicEdge game changing speakers provide the best sound from the smallest speaker.  Sound from Modulated Ultrasound works by replacing the speaker membrane with an ultrafast air pump.  Realized using MEMS technology and providing a tenfold smaller speaker to drive earphones and more, SonicEdge) speakers are set to revolutionize the audio.

In 2023, Nordic Innovators assisted Sonic Edge with their first successful Innobooster application granted by Innovation Fund Denmark. They have advanced their breakthrough ultrasound MEMS speaker solution through a grant that partially funded development of their Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) that will drive their novel MEMS chip. 

Challenges and Need for More Funding   

During the work on their first ASIC, as common in the world of technology, SonicEdge identified opportunities for power reduction and performance enhancement, charting a route for the next generation of products.   SonicEdge once again sought the expertise and assistance of Nordic Innovators to apply for a second Innobooster grant which was submitted in spring 2024.
