Next-gen Cancer Therapy Secures
€3.8M EIC Pathfinder grant
Our Swedish client, Amniotics AB, who got acquired in 2024 by the Magle Group, secured a €3.8 million grant for their HyperTargIPS-NK EIC Pathfinder project.
Funding from the prestigious EIC Pathfinder programme is awarded to support visionary, high-risk research by interdisciplinary consortia pushing the frontiers of science and technology in Europe.
Funding Accelerates the Development of AMNI-NK003
The Magle Group leads a 36-month research project in collaboration with Lund University, Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, and the University of Copenhagen. The goal is to further develop AMNI-NK003 – a scalable, off-the-shelf Natural Killer (NK) cell therapy targeting both hematological and solid cancers. The project also aims to reduce costs, improve access, and deliver consistent, high-quality cancer immunotherapy.
With the EIC Pathfinder funding, the project is well-positioned to bring forward a new class of immunotherapies that could make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients as well as strengthens the R&D capabilities placing the Swedish company at the forefront of next-generation cell therapy development in Europe.
Support Every Step of the Proposal Journey
As Magle Group took over Amniotics AB in the middle of the process, we have continued to support Magle Group.
Besides assisting Amniotics with the proposal preparation and the Grant Agreement Preparation (GAP), we assisted Magle Group with the Universal Transfer of Rights and Obligations (UTRO). Finally, we are currently assisting with navigating the important Grant Agreement amendment and Project Implementation phase, aligning the HyperTargIPS-NK EIC Pathfinder project’s technical and financial details with the European Commission's requirements. In this way, we help ensure that all documentation is in place and that the project is ready for the final reporting.
“We are proud to be awarded the EIC Pathfinder grant, which will support our AMNI-NK003 project in a substantive way and validates our approach and empowers us to take our technology to the next level. Also, a big thanks to the consultants at Nordic Innovators for giving us invaluable support us throughout the whole proposal process”. Vanessa Hall, Project Manager
