Librixer Secures Funding
to Tackle Green Energy Challenges
Librixer is a Swedish innovation company specialising in sustainable material processing technologies and has developed the Librixer Liberator. This advanced energy-efficient system uses high-frequency physics to separate and micronize materials without chemicals.
Solving Wind Energy’s Recycling Problem
As the European wind energy sector grows, ageing onshore turbines present a recycling challenge, particularly the blades, made of tough composite materials that are costly and difficult to process.
With 66,000 tonnes of blades expected to reach end of life by 2025, sustainable solutions are urgently needed. Librixer’s technology is being adapted to meet this need, offering a promising way to recycle wind turbine blades efficiently and responsibly.
Funding from the Swedish Energy Agency
To accelerate this technology, Librixer reached out to Nordic Innovators for grant support, and the collaboration was successful. With a high-quality application, the Swedish Energy Agency awarded Librixer funding through its “Verification with Pilot Customer” programme. This initiative helps SMEs validate innovations with real customers and supports projects that advance a sustainable energy future by boosting renewable energy or energy efficiency.
