FACING THE FUTURE

Justface is a Danish AI company that has developed facial recognition software that makes use of a facial detection camera with a built-in-feature that can detect human faces. The first version of the solution was Justface Fitness (JF) targeting fitness centres that made use of facial detection camera with a built-in-feature that can detect human faces. This means that instead of members of a fitness centre having to use a membership card, chip or PIN code, they were scanned by a camera and verified by the company’s software.

However, Justface wanted a take a step further and had an idea to develop Justface Retail (JR) to give retailers a unique insight into who visits their stores, at what times, their biogeographical classification, demographics, age groups, their movement patterns, mood, and much more.

Justface applied for the Innobooster grant assisted by Nordic Innovators and was able to fund all the necessary innovation activities, such as build the new backend infrastructure, body and facial scan and analysis, a customer loyalty module, etc. The grant has contributed to the realization of Justface's idea to create the first Danish AI solution to combine both facial and body recognition for accurate real time data which retail stores can use for advanced in-store analytics and actionable business insights.
