More Speed and More Competitive
The EUFRUIT project takes a multi-actor approach to increasing the connectivity and efficiency between research outcomes and implementation of knowledge in the European fruit sector.
The project aims to increase the competitiveness of the European fruit sector through improved productivity, sustainability and quality of fruit across the fruit chain. The key stakeholders who will gain value from the project are researchers in the fruit sector, fruit producers, consultants within the horticultural sector, fruit storage facilities, distributors, retailers and not least consumers.
With the EU grant, EUFRUIT intends to establish a framework and a systematic approach for identifying, exchanging and implementing new knowledge. This will secure a quick and open implementation process that can increase the speed with which knowledge can be converted into value when the project ends.
"Collaborating with Nordic Innovators was a very positive experience. Following our first meeting, they developed a pre-funding application (EUopSTART) which secured us funding for developing the main EU funding 2020 proposal.
Nordic Innovators was invaluable in the development and writing of the EUFRUIT project proposal for the Coordination and Support Action (CSA). They were also an essential resource in coordinating the 21 project participants across 12 countries. They were very professional and efficient in their approach; I plan to continue our work with future applications and I highly recommend them to my academia colleagues.”
